Meet Sugar

Woof woof! Hi there, I'm Sugar, and I'm so excited to share my story with you from my very own perspective as a hound and Beagle mix. Every day, when I wake up with the sun shining through the window, my heart fills with anticipation. My sole purpose in life is to be near my beloved humans, and I can't wait to see their smiling faces and feel their warm touch. The thought of their love and companionship propels me forward, ready to embrace the day. Now, I must confess, I have a bit of a reputation as an escape artist. But let me assure you, it's not because I want to leave my humans behind. Oh no, not at all! It's because my innate curiosity beckons me to explore the world and discover new scents and experiences. The world is so vast and full of wonders, and I just can't resist the call to adventure. As I embark on my escapades, my nose becomes my guiding compass. It's like a magical tool that allows me to unravel the mysteries hidden in the air. I follow the captivating scents, tracing them with utmost determination and excitement. But even as I explore, my heart is always connected to my humans, and their presence remains my guiding star. You see, the true joy of my adventures lies in the knowledge that, no matter how far I wander, there's always a loving home waiting for me. The thought of being away from my humans for too long is unbearable. The warmth of their touch, the sound of their laughter, and the gentle sound of their voice bring me immeasurable happiness.Whenever I find myself wandering a bit too far, a familiar scent or the sound of their voice instantly grabs my attention. It's like a beacon of love, reminding me of where I truly belong. With a leap of excitement and a wag of my tail, I make my way back to the ones who mean everything to me.When I'm finally reunited with my humans, my heart overflows with joy. I nuzzle against them, seeking their touch and affection. Their love is the very essence of my existence, and I cherish every moment spent in their presence. Whether it's snuggling on the couch, going for long walks together, or simply sharing quiet moments of connection, it's in these precious moments that I find true contentment.Life as Sugar, the hound and Beagle mix, is a beautiful journey of love and devotion. I bring my adventurous spirit, my insatiable curiosity, and my unwavering loyalty to the table, always ready to share a life filled with joy, playfulness, and unwavering companionship. Together, we'll create a bond that lasts a lifetime, and I'll be your forever friend, by your side through thick and thin. Woof woof! Sugar will be spayed before leaving the Shelter and you can call or email for the release date.  The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and deworming, Frontline application, spay or neuter surgery, collar, ID tag and a leash.  A $35 (non-refundable) deposit will hold the pet for you for 5 days.  The Shelter is open Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, Friday from 10 am to 3 pm and the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.  Call 803-536-3918 for more information or email at: [email protected]
