Meet Bourbon

Meet Bourbon! Breed: standard poodle. Age: 3 years. Weight: 40lbs, he needs to gain some weight, should be about 50lbs. Training: crate and leash trained, working on house training and he is doing well. He hasn't had much life experiences and will need continued training and guidance. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes to dogs, will need to cat test. Good with adults/kids? Yes, although older, understanding kids will be best. Personality: He is a little shy at first, but he warms up to be friendly, playful, and affectionate. He is quiet and laid back, but he has started coming out of his shell more. He will play with the other dogs. Bourbon will need a patient, understanding, experienced owner that has the ability to work on training. Shortly after he was rescued, he had to have surgery to remove a blockage. He has healed well! He isn't a big chewer, but he does like to eat random things. He will need closely monitored during training. Because of this, we recommend a home with older children. He is great with kids! But kids can leave out toys that could get Bourbon into some trouble. Bourbon has come SO FAR! His personality has truly began to blossom! Reason for rescue: breeder release, retiring.
