Meet Soxxy-Hospice
Hi everyone! My name is Soxy, and I'm a sweet and gentle 50lbs, 13-year-old Black Lab mix looking for my forever home. Don't let my age fool you – I've still got plenty of love to give and sunshine to soak up! I may be a senior, but I'm young at heart and ready to share my golden years with a loving family. I'm a pretty laid-back gal who enjoys the simple things in life. A comfy dog bed? Yes, please! Gentle scratches behind the ears? Absolutely! Short, leisurely walks where I can sniff all the interesting smells? My favorite! I'm good with other dogs and kids. I haven't met any cats but I think I'd like them too. Mostly, I just want a calm and loving environment where I can feel safe and cherished. I'm looking for a family who understands the joys of adopting a senior dog. I promise to fill your days with gentle nudges for attention, happy tail wags, and unwavering loyalty. Things I'm looking for in my forever home: * A loving and patient family that won't give up on me. * A calm and peaceful environment * Someone who appreciates the time I have left here on earth. * Maybe another furry friend to play with If you think you have the perfect home for a sweet and gentle senior like me, please fill out an application! I can't wait to meet you! I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and prevention. Unfortunately when I came into my rescue I had a mass growing in my ear. At my age and because of being heartworm positive, I am not a good candidate for surgery so I am ready to soak up whatever time I have left of my golden years with you! Could you love me even though it may not be the ideal amount of time with me? My adoption fee is a donation of your choice.
