Lex, along with his siblings, were brought to NBSR by a good Samaritan who found them alone near their home. We have given 1st vaccinations and wormed the pups at NBSR and have had them quarantined here, so they won't contract any of those nasty diseases that can make puppies so sick such as Parvo, Distemper, etc. These sweet pups are so happy and engaging with all of us, we are having the best time playing with them and watching them learn new things daily, they are very smart and love to play....all puppies will be going out on Spay/Neuter Contracts to be altered at 12 months of age, no sooner as early spay/neuter has been proven to cause a variety of cancers in dogs and also inhibits growth which has an adverse effect on bones and joints and the overall development of the dogs.  New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue is a volunteer based rescue, we work very hard to help as many adoptable GSDs as possible. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters across the country, so sadly we do not have any background information on them.....but we work very hard to get to know each and every dog brought into our program in need of a new beginning in their lives. We do not take animals with aggression problems (some may not like other dogs, cats, or may require older kids as opposed to younger children, but we will let you know everything that we know) most of these beautiful dogs have been faithful and loving family pets for their entire lives, yet still have lost their homes and families through no fault of their own. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to one of these amazing dogs please fill out our adoption application at https://www.newbeginningsrescue.com/adoption-application and we will get back in touch after we get it processed.
