Name: Whiskey Location: York SC Age: 3 Weight: 14 Vetting done by rescue: neuter vaccines etc House trained: no Crate trained: yes Fence required: yes Apartment/condo appropriate: no Bark meter 1-5: 5 Good in the car: yes Good on a leash:yes Good with other dogs: no Good with cats: no Good with older respectable kids:yes Good with Women/Men/Both: yes Medications: none Temperament: Sweet actiive Special needs:  Adoption fee 400 Story:   Whiskey came to us as a bonded pair with his brother Jager.   We originally adopted them together but when they got to their new home they had multiple violent fights with each and were returned the next day.   I believe they were both being possessive over their new person and didn't want to share the love.   Jager has been adopted and doing great but whiskey is still waiting for his person.   Whiskey loves to go for walks and explore, he would love to cuddle on the couch and give kisses. Whiskey has a high prey drive like most dachshunds so we dont think he will do well with cats.. Whiskey interacts well with other dogs around him in normal situations like at the dog park on a leash etc.    He just needs to be the only pet in his new home as he doesnt want to compete for attention. to adopt please fill out an application. 20.00 application fee applies  https://www.chapmansdox.com/adopt
