Meet Lexie

We are an all-volunteer/foster home-based rescue. Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.  Hi! I'm Lexie. I am a sweet cocker spaniel puppy, I am blind but I do well following my nose. I love to play with other dogs. I do require a fenced yard since I am blind. I'm just learning to do what puppies are supposed to learn to do, play with toys, potty outside, snuggle on the couch when my foster mom sits with me. I am a work in progress, I am a growing girl. I am a local adoption only until I can be spay on September 30th. Do you have the time and patience to work with a special needs pup like myself? I am 4 months old, last time I saw Dr Paul I weighed 7 pounds, my adoption fee is $500 plus sales tax $22.50=$522.50   My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, dental if needed and microchipping.

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
