I’m Trixie, a ten-week-old Cocker Spaniel, and I’m looking for a family who’s ready for a playful, loving, and adventurous puppy like me! I absolutely love spending time with my humans and my big dog sisters. Whether it’s playing, cuddling, or just being near my family, I’m always excited to be around those I love. I may have some hearing limitations, but don’t worry! I’m a smart girl and I’m learning to understand signs like “podie,” “stay,” “sit,” and “stop” – with a little time, I’ll be able to follow all the cues! One of my eyes is a bit smaller than the other, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. I can still follow my humans and my doggy friends around the house and outside with ease and love to join in all the fun! As a young puppy, I’m full of energy and love – and of course, I’m cute as a button (just look at my picture)! I would really enjoy having another doggy friend to help me learn responsibility and grow up to be the best pup I can be. If you’re ready for a puppy who brings joy, laughter, and plenty of cuddles, I’d love to meet you! Let’s create a lifetime of memories together. ❤️ I do require a fenced yard because of my limited vision and I am also deaf.I am a LOCAL adoption only at this time because of the remainder of puppy vaccinations I need as well as my spay has to be done at ACPCE when I am 5 1/2- 6 months old Can you be my furever home? I am a growing puppy, currently weigh about 5 pounds, my adoption fee is $500 plus sales tax $22.50=$522.50 My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, dental if needed and microchipping.
Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
