Meet Ricco and Maddy ❤️ They are a beautiful bonded senior pair looking for a furever home of their own.Ricco: laid back, slow moving, a bit more stand off-ish, needs a quieter home, but likes to be in your space. Maddy: social butterfly, barker upon first encounter, but warms up super quickly. Cuddly and loves to be in Ricco's space. She loves walks and dinking in the yard. They are both sweet as can be. For the most part potty trained. They don't mind going out in the rain or with fireworks. Maddy likes to dink outside and Ricco is get his business done as soon as possible and go back inside. Both are early risers. Bark to alert you they are awake. May need to be let out during the bedtime hours, currently about 1/2 the mornings, we wake to someone piddled on the piddle pad. Both currently on soft food (they weren't eating the watered down hard food as well due to desperately needing a dental). Both love treats. Easy to put to bed. Their previous owner slept with them, but they kennel in their space easily without much fuss. Both did great when they got groomed! Get along well with dogs (big and small) and cats. They've been around teens and have done wonderfully. Love both men and women. Maddy's adoption fee is $250 + sales tax $11.25=$261.25 Ricco's adoption fee is $250 + sales tax $11.25=$261.25 for a total of $522.50
Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
