June 1st 2024 Mya update :⭐️ FUR-STER SPOTLIGHT ⭐️ Miss Mya   ⏰️ Age: Mya is 1 yr 8 months old, she will be 2 yrs old Sept 23rd I'm a female black and white French bulldog/Boston TerrierI weigh about 21 pounds I've been in rescue for over a year now! It's given me time to come out of my shell but now I'm ready for my furever family! ‍️ I'm skittish in new situations (Who isn't? ) I like to talk.. I mean, I'm a barky one - apartment living wouldn't be a good fit for me I need a fenced in yard! It's mandatory actually;) I'm killing this "walks well on a leash" thing.I like women! Men and boys I bark and bark and bark at.. Ummm... Kids? I would say No, a hard No! 'No, thank you'  That's lots of MAYBES.. I'm picky.. Wait, the polite way to say that- I have some preferences I chase chickens and cats, any exotic animal is seen as prey in my book. I prefer to have a playmate. I LOVE other doggos! I'm kennel trained (WHOOP!) If I'm kept on a schedule, I'm doing very well potty training! I love you BALLS!! Wanna hear something funny? (Foster mom doesn't think it's funny though ) If I'm not supervised, I dig in the garbage, which mom says can be dangerous since she can eat food that I can't - best have a watchful eye! I'm a chewer and NOT just bones... (remember, I'm still a young dog) I eat hard kibble, that helps with the need to chew. ✅️ I'm spayed and ready to go!   Do I sound like your perfect match? fill out an application!   Mya is a puppy who came into DDR because she is very timid and scared. She was not socialized as a young pup, she is learning to trust people. She loves her foster mom. She does not like young highly active children, especially boys. Mya is a flight risk so she does require a fenced yard. She does need another confident dog in the house. Mya is a 5 month old puppy, she does have a cherry eye that will be fixed when she is spay. She is working on house training and learning to become a house pet. My name is Mya, I am now 1 yr 8  months old, I weigh 21 1/2 pounds, my adoption fee is $750 plus sales tax $33.75 = $783.75

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
