Meet Bellatrix~
Bellatrix had a photo shoot this morning and nailed it! We posted about her last week, and here's the update: Bellatrix didn't take but one night to fall in love with my kid (she took a full day to let me pet her). We had some friends over (including 6 kids), and Bella acted shy at times, but tentatively greeted most of our guests who showed an interest, including some of the kids! I feel great reporting Bella will thrive in most homes, as long as she has time to warm up to people and things as she sees fit. It only took her a few days here to act and look like any other normal, happy dog! She thinks everyone else's dinner is better than hers (even though they're eating the same thing). She loves a good nap lap, and does not love her crate. Over the past week or so, I started letting her free roam at night, and she's ended up in bed with me, and even wants to be the little spoon at times (be still my heart)! This girl is a lover!Bellatrix was on hold in CA for behavior. After maybe 24 hours of my only interaction with her being treats, dinner, and clean-up, she let me pet her. Maybe 10 minutes later she was in my lap. I gave her a few days to decompress before slowly introducing her to the other pets. She mostly ignores the cats and LOVES my bulldog mix, Bo. My 9 year old son came home 1 night and she was scared of him. He comes back tomorrow for 6 days, and I’m hoping she will warm up to him after a day or so. After 5 days of being here, she’s acting like a normal happy dog! I think as long as her forever family is ok with slow intros and has some patience, she’ll thrive in most homes. I’ll keep you posted as we learn more about sweet Bellatrix!Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else.
