Meet Kokomo, a gentle soul with a heart full of love to give! He is a 4-year-old Shih Tzu-miniature poodle mix who’s looking for a patient and loving forever home. This little guy is a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe, he’ll show you his sweet and loyal side.Kokomo loves quiet moments, cozy spots to curl up in, and the company of kind-hearted humans who understand that good things take time. He’s working on potty training and loves other dogs, making him an easygoing companion for the right person or family.If you’re looking for a dog who will truly appreciate your love and patience, Kokomo might be your perfect match. Help this shy sweetheart come out of his shell and discover the joy of a forever home.We picked up Kokomo last night. I’m guessing he was in a hoarding/breeder situation. He’s so timid that he won’t let anyone pet him and gets in his kennel when you get near him. However, he went outside this morning and absolutely came alive. His tail perked up, and he seemed to actually be happy. I think it will take him some time to learn how to be a dog. You’re safe now sweet boy!Kokomo was one of several dogs who were rescued from a breeder and brought to us. He has known no other life than being bred. We are getting all of his  vetting done and hoping to get him  in a foster so he can know what life should be like! Sweet and almost seems to smile when you try to get him to come to you. Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made.The application is the first step.
