Meet Dipper CP

"His name is Dipper (he also answers to DipDot and Baby Dog). He is the sweetest, most loving boy you could ever imagine. He just turned 3 in March, we’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old. He is neutered. His tail is docked, but that was due to medical necessity, not a personal choice. He’s not the brightest dog in the world, but his smile can light up a room! Now for the not so fun stuff: He’s good with a harness, but not a collar. He’s also good with a leash once he realizes it’s not a toy and he’s getting to go outside. He is crate trained, but he’s only partially house broken. We’ve tried and tried and it just hasn’t stuck. He doesn’t indicate that he needs to go outside until he NEEDS to go. Which can sometimes be problematic. He also isn’t great with other dogs or cats. He’s been raised with our other dog (and loves him) and has been to the dog park and around dogs there, but he’s very protective and very territorial, so he can be a little aggressive around new animals. I do think with an adjustment period he would come around. He definitely likes to herd (he does it to our dachshund all the time). He’s extremely high energy and needs somewhere with space to run and play. But he also needs to be with people that can give him time and attention and as many snuggles as possible. Aside from the obvious things mentioned above, he really is a good dog, and the sweetest boy."Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step.
