Meet Cash

Cash is an 8-year-old terrier and chihuahua mix.  He weighs about 10 lbs.  Due to his owner dad’s health issues, he needs a new forever home.  They think he would do best in a household without other dogs with strong personalities or children since he is a resource guarder. He may bite if you threaten his resources by coming too close to them and he tends to guard a 10-foot radius around his food and toys.  This is a behavior that can be corrected with training and patience.  Yes, older dogs can learn new tricks.  Almost Home Animal Rescue can help with that.  His owners say he is very mellow otherwise and keeps to himself a lot, but he does like to lay in their laps when they are sitting on the couch. As you can see in his pictures, he is a cutie and charms most people when they visit. He loves to play with squeaky toys and run around the yard - he is fast and agile!  Cash will obey basic commands, never has bathroom accidents, and adapts to routines.  He is good on a leash.  Riding in a car makes him a little nervous.  He is neutered and up to date on vetting.  Adorable Cash needs a family who will love him forever, and work with him on his resource guarding issues.   If that is you, please contact Judy at [email protected] or 865-300-8146.  This is a guest posting.  Almost Home Animal Rescue is helping his family find him a great new home.  

Adoption Process
We require an adoption application and a contract. Our adoption fee is $125 for dogs and $90 for cats. Our requirements are listed on the website and on our contract.
