Meet GIZMO (Spayed!)
Beautiful GIZMO - the girl with the gentle eyes, is listed as a seven year-old American bulldog mix female adult. Her intake weight was 61 pounds and she arrived at the shelter in mid February 2025. Staff thinks that she may be already spayed. That will have to be confirmed before she can go home with you as your own. If it has not yet been done, they will make sure that it is done. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please be prepared! That includes taking the dog collar and leash with you to the appointment in case you do decide to adopt GIZMO or one of the other spayed or neutered animals already at the shelter. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted. So, consider taking an adult dog carrier with you to that appointment. Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
