Meet DUNKIN (Neutered!)
Precious DUNKIN arrived at the shelter first in January 2025 and was listed as a one year-old terrier mix male dog with an intake weight of 56 pounds. He was adopted fairly quickly, but was returned in early April 2025. According to his previous owner, DUNKIN has separation anxiety issues. DUNKIN would do best with a family that was home with him all day and could provide a large safe dog crate to kennel him in during those odd times when they must be away from the house for a couple of hours. Because he is already neutered, DUNKIN can go home the same day that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt DUNKIN. Even better, take a large dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted. Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
