Meet HELGA

HELGA is one of nine boxer/lab mix puppies that arrived at the shelter together in mid March 2024. They were listed as 6 to 7 weeks of age at that time. Since then staff has given them two sets of puppy vaccines. They are ready to be adopted but still need to be spayed or neutered before the one you adopt can go home with you. HELGA is a little sweetheart, but she does have that look in her eyes of wonder that nobody has come to adopt most of the puppies in this litter just yet. At six months of age, they are no longer considered puppies, but young dogs. In case you were wondering! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!

Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
