CHONK arrived at the shelter in January 2025 with an estimated age of about 10 months. He is a black and white mixture of Bully and Lab. His intake weight was 53 pounds and he has not yet fully grown! He is happy and gets along with other dogs, as staff has already been able to successfully pair him with another male dog. He has not yet been neutered, though. That must be done before he can go home with you as your own. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you called. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
