Meet BIRDIE

BIRDIE Arrived at the shelter in January 2025. She is listed as a mixture of Border Collie and Heeler. Staff estimates her age to be about 5 to 6 years and her intake weight was 54 pounds. She is friendly and gentle and just a really good all-around dog. She has not yet been spayed. That must be done before she can go home with you as your own. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!

Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
