Meet CAROLYN (Spayed!)
CAROLYN is cute and funny and definitely in need of training! This beautiful one year old American bulldog mix female arrived at the shelter in late November. She was not reclaimed by her owner. She is mostly white with some tan markings and weighs 35 pounds. Staff has been able to successfully pair her with another dog so that they can run and frolic in a kennel together. That was just what she needed, as she is a very high energy girl! Thanks to a partnership between a UT department and Cumberland County Animal Shelter, CAROLYN was spayed on Wednesday, February 21. As a result, she can go home the same day that she is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt CAROLYN. Even better, take a dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
