Meet SHERLOCK BONES (Neutered!)
SHERLOCK BONES is a friendly sweetheart, and he tries so hard to get attention, even though he has to compete with another, larger dog in his kennel, who thinks that he should get all of love coming their way! SHERLOCK arrived at the beginning of the year in January 2024, and is listed as a Mountain Cur/Retriever mix. He had an intake weight of 49 pounds and he has a beautiful red coat with white markings. Thanks to a partnership between UT and Cumberland County Animal Shelter, he was neutered on Wednesday, February 21. As a result, he can go home the same day that he is adopted. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the appointment in case you do decide to adopt him. Even better, take a large dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
