Meet Archie - CP
I received a call about Archie who was being held at an animal shelter in Mississippi. He wasn’t adjusting and was shutting down. I picked him up and brought him home. He collapsed in my lap, not responding but obviously grateful for comfort. Archie is blossoming quickly. His visit to the vet revealed he is 22 pounds and3-5 years old. He received all of his shots and was neutered. He is receiving treatment for hookworms and is heartworm positive. Despite having a couple of health issues, Archie is beginning to shine. He has become an active, wiggly young fellow. Archie wants to be a lap dog but is so excited, he stands and wiggles instead! He shakes hands!! He isn’t a big barker. His appetite has improved and he eats well now. Archie takes his meds easily. He would love playmates. He tries to play with our elderly JRT, but Scout says nope. I haven’t been able to expose him to children, so no recommendation on that. I think after he settles down he will be a great pet. He is already doing well on a leash.
