Meet MARBLES (Neutered!)
What a beautiful dog! MARBLES is quite a looker with his beautiful Catahoula markings mixed with those of an Australian cattle dog/Heeler. This boy was previously adopted from the shelter in 2023 and returned in April 2024 through no fault of his own. He is now neutered, of course, and that was taken care of at the time of his last adoption. As a result, he can go home the same day that he is adopted! He gets along with other dogs and is having a blast playing with his new kennel mate. His intake weight was 70 pounds which is 5 pounds more than when he arrived at the shelter last fall. That means you will need to have plenty of dog food on hand! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you decide to adopt MARBLES. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
