Dallas Australian Shepherd and Herding Dog Rescue

What was once a group of neighbors who shared a passion for our dogs and socializing with them and one another -- DASH -- is now an official non-profit organization sponsored by a private foundation and the generous donations of friends, family, previous adoption clients and Dallas-area dog-lovers who share a mission: to help us find a home for every lost, neglected, abused or abandoned dog.

APPLICATION REQUIRED from www.dashdog.org  Adoption Fee $450 - the fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE and is not specific for any dog or puppy; it goes to the expenses of the organization as a whole* OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org and must be completed in order to set up a meeting. Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME! ❄️❄️ Aspen ❄️❄️ Meet Aspen - she is a beautiful, SMALL Husky, Jindo, Collie a with a GORGEOUS Snow White smooth coat. She has one green eye and one blue; she’s absolutely stunning to look at with a loving, sweet disposition to match! Aspen is estimated to be 11-12 months old so she is full grown; the vet said she would probably be 40ish lbs. full-grown, a GREAT SIZE for a Husky-GSD type mix. Aspen is lithe, agile, athletic and also able to calm herself and be a cuddlebug. Aspen is sweet and gentle; she has a very moderate activity level for her age and breed. She has NEVER shown aggression; she thrives on attention from her foster parents and other humans. Now that Aspen is in OUR we all see first-hand what an angel she is! This afternoon we took our 3 dogs and Aspen to a nearby field and creek to romp off-leash. Aspen had a blast! She is so obedient, loved running fast and swimming in the creek with the other dogs.  Aspen would love to find a permanent home with a male canine-companion. We have seen how happy and secure she has been with both her foster brother dog and her brother so we want her to continue to have a dog-brother of similar size, disposition and activity level! A house with a nice solid 8-10 foot fence is ideal because she loves being outdoors. We don’t leave our dogs outside unsupervised but Aspen likes to run around and play then flop down to soak up the sun.Aspen is very smart, eager to please and responsive to training. She loves to play fetch, tug-toy with a dog-buddy and play with other dogs at a perfect 7-8 energy level. Aspen was found while running around the Bishop Arts neighborhood in downtown Dallas. She found a house she liked and decided to hang out there; lucky for her the attempt to rehome herself landed her a loving couple who took her in and contacted DASH with an offer to foster Aspen Until we could take her and she’s now been at our home for several days and is blossoming, happy and great with every dog she meets! Do you think your home is a match for this girl who is gorgeous, loving inside and out? If so please complete our app on the website below  Then TEXT:Sara: 214-549-9905 So I can check your app! Thank you! www.dashdog.org We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.

Adoption Process
Potential adopter must fill out extensive application. We then coordinate a time to meet them with the dog they'd like to see. They sign a contract and the fee for our dogs is $450.
