Meet Duke
Duke was adopted from GAP 4 years ago. His family is moving and decided they “don’t want to deal with a dog anymore.” What’s even worse, they were about to surrender him to the FTW shelter. Thats not an easy place for a bully breed to make it out of. Duke stood in a parking lot and watched his family drive away, sadly he’s unaware it’s FOREVER. Duke is a chonky boy at 80 lbs, however, we will help him slim down, but in the meantime, it’s just more of him to love. He’s fully vetted (neutered, chipped, UTD on shots and microchipped). He’s a great car rider, dog friendly and loves attention. He could use some leash manners and GAP has their volunteer trainers working with him. Duke is a snuggle bug and LOVES attention. He doesn’t know a stranger and deserves to live out his life in a home where he will be cherished as a member of the family and never be left behind. [email protected] to inquire about fostering or adoption. Duke’s size and breed will require a home with a minimum 6’ fence. Located Euless, TX
Adoption Process
Adopters must complete an adoption contract and be approved by a GAP representative or the foster parent before adoption. All dogs are required to be put on or continue their heartworm preventative and are highly encouraged to be on flea preventative.
Adoption fees from the Euless Animal Shelter are: male dogs & cats = $60, female dogs and cats = $85. Male puppies under 4months $125, female puppies under 4months $150 to cover all puppy vaccine series, deworming, and neutering. Adoption fees for animals in foster: male dogs = $100, female dogs = $125 (this includes heart worm testing in addition to the vaccines and neutering). Cats in foster are $60 for males and $85 for females. If an animal has a different adoption fee, it will be listed on their specific adoption page.
