Meet Blu

LOCATION: Cleveland, TNDOB: 10/15/2017Blu is very much a velcro baby! He is lazy most of the time but he does enjoy going for walks. He doesn't like a leash outside and would much rather go and use the potty/sun bathe without someone on top of him. He's never even attempted to wander out of the yard. I would say his energy level really would match yours. He's very flexible! He will run with you but not for long periods of time. His temperament is SASSY. He will growl here and there to try to scare you into doing what he wants but as soon as he realizes it's not working he immediately does what you ask and then asks for hugs and love. He's extremely affectionate but he DOES NOT like to share the affection. If one of my other dogs approaches me he will do a growl or if food is around he does growl. But only human food not really with dog food at all. He likes the outside and the sun. He likes treats and he loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. He does not like loud noises at all. Even the sounds of the kids playing seems to overstimulate him. He doesn't really play with toys. I think he's ideal home would consist of one other very calm dog. He does not like anything in his face, attempting to play with him, barking or making really any noise or being in his space unless it's his human. He doesn't seem to mind cats or small quiet animals. He's fine with being left alone but does not do well in a crate or in a room. If he does not free roam he will eat through the walls. If he's crated it causes extreme anxiety. He does really well with my kids as long as they aren't loud near him. He loves pets from them and he loves to cuddle with them. He doesn't seem to mind men or women. He's just kind of happy to see anyone who will pet him. He doesn't do bad on a leash but not necessarily good. He doesn't pull much but he's uncomfortable on it. He likes to do his own thing outside but he always stays in his area. He is marking his territory EVERYWHERE currently but I truly believe he is house broken. When left out alone when I'm at work he does fine besides marking his territory. No chewing on anything or barking. Just lounges until I get back. Blu is truly such a big couch potato and a big love bug. He is like a teenager though when it comes to him needing boundaries and he will talk back to get you to back down but he is in no way actually aggressive. He's genuinely an ideal dog for someone who wants an easy life with a big dog.
