Meet Ruby II (New Digs)

Meet Ruby! She is an estimated 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix (shelter’s guess). She weighs around 40 pounds. She was adopted from a local shelter 8 months ago. She is up-to-date on shots, spayed and microchipped. Ruby is a sweetheart, loves to cuddle and learns quickly. She does not require much activity or playtime, but we do go on daily walks. She is content to be next to you, in your lap, or at your feet and nap for hours. She gets along with dogs and cats, although has been an only dog for the past few months. She has a great temperament for calm children as well. Ruby does have some special health needs. I was not informed when adopting her that she has seizures, so now she takes daily medication for what is likely a lifelong condition. Her care has been a bit challenging to manage being that I live alone. I also travel frequently for work and don’t have friends or family who can watch her. So I am sadly seeking for a new home for her. I think her ideal home is with a family where at least one family member can be home with her so that she is rarely left alone. Someone who has experience with seizure dogs before would be helpful, but not necessary. Ruby is leash- and potty-trained, although she can be a bit stubborn about stopping to sniff on walks. She also knows basic commands. This lovable pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you?
