Straydog is a No-Kill Dog Shelter and Sanctuary located 70 miles SE of Dallas. Partner with Straydog and our mission – To rescue and rehabilitate homeless and abandoned dogs in a no-kill environment until each is adopted into a caring, loving home; and to act as a sanctuary for those dogs who are never adopted. Because of our location, we are able to provide forever homes in our sanctuary to any rescues who do not get adopted. We believe in the total care of the animal forever and always.

Meet Bessie

Bessie was dumped in the middle of the night at our shelter along with her brother, Snookie.  She is a beautiful, young Australian shepherd who was very distrusting of people at first.  She portrays typical blue heeler traits like herding the staff members to the park!  She is a sweet dog who is still a little shy when she first meets you.  She would love a home where she can safe and loved.

1. Application 2. Home Visit 3. Contract 4. $175 fee includes shots, spay/neuter, and heart worm prevention
