Chico is an 8-year-old boy who came to us as a referral from another rescue. He was loved by his person, who sadly passed away and the family was unable to take him. Chico is a smaller Boston who loves to cuddle and spend time with his person. He's not terribly active, which stands to reason since his former owner was older and not highly active. An adoptive home should ideally have a fairly low-key vibe to be a good fit for Mr. Chico. He has glaucoma and a painful eye that needs to be removed, per our vet. He is currently scheduled for surgery to remove his bad eye along with some bad teeth that are giving him trouble. Adoption Process
We require all applicants to complete an application. All references are checked including vet reference. If the references check out then we move to a home visit. A volunteer from our organization goes into the home and inspects the home for safety and talks to the potential family about any questions or concerns that they have. Our Adoption Donation fee ranges from $175-$350 depending on the age of the dog. We do require an adoption contract to be signed by the adoptive family. All dogs are adopted only after their shots are current and they have been spayed/neutered.
