Meet Elrod, a lovable Standard Schnauzer with a heart as big as his playful personality! This friendly and affectionate boy adores meeting new people and thrives on attention. Whether he’s wagging his tail at a new face or snoring peacefully on his bed in the rescue office, Elrod’s charm is impossible to resist. Elrod was owner-surrendered through no fault of his own and has proven to be an absolute gem. He gets along beautifully with all dogs and would be a wonderful addition to any home. Elrod is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and prevention, including ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. His adoption fee is $400. He’s currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. Elrod is ready to be cherished as part of a loving family. If you’re ready to welcome this sweet and snuggly boy into your home, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Elrod can’t wait to meet his forever family!
Adoption Process
Adoption application is required. Applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. A picture of your home or yard may be requested
All dogs and puppies are fully vetted prior to adoption (spay/neuter, rabies, 3 DHPP, bordetella and heartworm test/treat if positive) and are micro-chipped.
Our fees start at $200, transport out of Texas is arranged by us and is generally an additional $200.
We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet. Our contract requires if an adoption does not work out the dog is to be returned to us. We need at least two weeks notice.
