Meet Dodger & Duke
APPLICATION REQUIRED from www.dashdog.org Adoption Fee $450 - the fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE and is not specific for any dog or puppy; it goes to the expenses of the organization as a whole* OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org and must be completed in order to set up a meeting. Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME! ❤️ Duke & Dodger ❤️ What’s better than a New Dog for a New Year? TWO NEW DOGS! Bonded brothers, boon companions, companions, playmates and less work for you!No one can play with a young dog better than another young dog! Darling Duke and Dodger are bonded brothers who are loving, playful, well-trained and adorable! Both boys are 2 years old and standard-Aussie size at 45-48 lbs. Dodger is mixed Aussie with German Shepherd but just as smart and more laid-back. They know several commands and are housebroken with a doorbell they ring to go outside! Both brothers are very sweet, smart, active, playful, affectionate, and love to cuddle. When Duke & Dodger are not on their squirrel-chasing missions outside they love to interact with their people, playing fetch, chasing toys and all other fun outdoor activities. Indoors they’ll snuggle with their people; 2 people give them each a cuddle-buddy. While napping on their bed or playing with each other they’ll gladly move into position for head scratches, booty pats and cuddling on the couch! With new people they still get excited to greet and make a new friend; they could work on re-learning not to jump but this mainly started with the loss of consistent time with their beloved, current owners. These Bonded Bros would do great in a home withAussie-Savvy or older kids; anywhere that can provide lots of activities, outside playtime, and inside sleeping arrangements would be a wonderful home. They like squeaky toys and lick-mats. One reason we don’t recommend a doggie-door is that they LIKE to be outside in the cold and that should be monitored. Both prefer indoors on hot and/or rainy days. The only training they could use is for leash-walks; they’ve always had a huge fenced backyard for exercise and play-time. They aren’t bad on leashes but they need consistent walks just for basics. Together Duke and Dodger can stay inside for 6-8 hour stretches of no one else is home; they’re not destructive and are potty-trained. Duke and Dodger have been loved, well treated and well-trained. The only reason for rehoming is their can’t spend adequate time with them due to recent changes in work hours. We know we will find a fantastic new Family for Duke & Dodger! To apply for adoption please complete our application on the website below, THEN PLEASE TEXT SARA: 214-549-9905 So I can check your app! www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
Adoption Process
Potential adopter must fill out extensive application. We then coordinate a time to meet them with the dog they'd like to see. They sign a contract and the fee for our dogs is $450.
