Meet Celia

Meet Celia! Pulled from an overcrowded North Texas shelter, we are happy to welcome Celia into our rescue. She is an incredibly sweet and playful puppy! Celia is an 8-month-old sweetheart Great Pyrenees who LOVES kids, and all people in general. She is very gentle and loves to cuddle; however she jumps occasionally and gives you a strong Pyr paw. She is great with cats and other dogs too! She just goes with the flow! Celia must have a large, young, playful canine companion in her forever home. You can adopt a buddy for her from us! She likes car rides, but sometimes needs to be lifted into the car. She doesn’t love being crated and would prefer to be with her humans at all times. She is house trained, and is often allowed outside to potty as she is still in her puppy stage and possibly new to indoor life. We are also working on teaching her not to “mouth” us when she plays. She’s learning and getting the hang of proper play. Celia just absolutely loves going on adventures with our little group of friends! She makes sure all the kids are together and safe and stops for ALL the pets from everyone we pass. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:     1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.      2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.      3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.      4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI0 <\p> SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Adoption Process
Fill out application, check with vet for current pets, do home visit, have adoption contract. Must have fence, current dogs AND cats spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations. Fee based on age of dog.
