Ninna's Road to Rescue

I, Ninna Lopez, have been in rescue since 2007, managing a large no-kill shelter before starting Ninna's Road to Rescue in 2012. We have rescued and rehomed 1000's of animals. Our facility is climate controlled and the animals stay indoors at night in specially designed doggy rooms. They have access to the outdoors during the day in a large fenced in area. It's a little bit of paradise for the dogs until they find their furever home.

NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 3/20/2025:  Wiggles - female - DOB 9/12/2024 - 7.12 pounds - Cavalier/ Poodle mix Reason for intake:  Wiggles is an owner-surrender.  Her people just didn't have the time for her that they wanted her to have.  Please no negative comments.  She came from a breeder in Puerto Rico.  She's heading to our groomer first thing and then to our vet on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, for spaying and everything else she needs.  She's very wiggly so Wiggles is her new name!  Stay tuned. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
