Dallas Australian Shepherd and Herding Dog Rescue

What was once a group of neighbors who shared a passion for our dogs and socializing with them and one another -- DASH -- is now an official non-profit organization sponsored by a private foundation and the generous donations of friends, family, previous adoption clients and Dallas-area dog-lovers who share a mission: to help us find a home for every lost, neglected, abused or abandoned dog.

APPLICATION REQUIRED from www.dashdog.org  Adoption Fee $350 - the fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE and is not specific for any dog or puppy; it goes to the expenses of the organization as a whole* OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org and must be completed in order to set up a meeting. Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME! CUTE CUDDLY CARLY: Carly is an 1-year-old mini Aussie-Pocket Blue Heeler who needs a new forever home! Her pet-parents had to move in with family & sadly little Carly can no longer get the attention she has had since puppyhood. Carly not only loves but seeks attention and love from others as well. She’s a very friendly and a very excited girl, she’s very loyal and will be by her person no matter what.  Carly is a very funny little girl; she will make you laugh at the way she’ll sometimes be sleeping or just sitting.  We are looking for someone that will know the breed, understand Carly and be very patient with her. We prefer someone who will have a large open space for her to play and roam.  While Carly misses her role as only-dog she would also do well with the right larger, active playful male canine-companion.  Carly loves children but we would want age 10+ because Carly is still “a baby” herself; she’s active and strong for her size. Children with herding-breed experience who know how to work with & help continue training her since she’s jumpy, very playful & active.  We want a person, couple or experienced family who will continue to keep Carly active. She is eager to please, eager to learn many new commands & tricks.  We always look for homes where at least one adult isn’t gone all day; working from home, able to take on walks, supervise in yard and have lots of stimulating toys and chewies to keep her busy! If you’re looking for a fun-sized, comical canine companion, a BFF, co-pilot, “wing-dog,” jogging partner and great outdoor activity, agility and other fun DogSport Carly may be the one! If this loyal, loving and lovable young lady is for you please complete application on our website below, then TEXT US: Sara:   214-549-9905 Kevin: 469-623-3999 General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $350 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.

Adoption Process
Potential adopter must fill out extensive application. We then coordinate a time to meet them with the dog they'd like to see. They sign a contract and the fee for our dogs is $450.
