Meet Bodie

Meet Bodie!  He has the sweetest, funniest little personality.  He is an absolute gem!  You might soon be calling him Bo, Bo-Bo, or Bodie-Bo. Born around February 2024, this beautiful boy is loving, smart, and eager to please.  At this young age, he weighs 85 pounds.  He could gain another 10-20 pounds as he continues into full adulthood. Bodie thinks he’s the size of a teacup poodle and always wants to crawl into your lap. He loves to snuggle into you and give you his paw so you will pet him.  And he gives you the best greetings when you come home! Sweet Bo-Bo is cautious until he gets to know you.  When someone new comes into the house, he runs and seeks refuge in his crate.  It seems as if someone was mean to him in the past.  But he soon comes to trust those who are kind to him. He is silly and goofy!  He plays with his toys by throwing them in the air while he’s rolling on his back. He happily bounces around the back yard with his tail held high as he waits to hear if there are other dogs in the neighborhood that might be barking.  He is on alert! Bodie is great with children.  He loves all the kids he sees when going for walks at the park. He is the best boy! He likes other dogs, too.  He would love to have a large, playful doggie companion in his forever home.  If he is an only dog, he needs his people to take him for walks (which he loves) and spend lots of time with him (which he also loves). Still in his puppy stage, he likes toys.  He can be mischievous and believe everything can be a toy!  You’ll learn to put things away until (if!) he gets past this phase. He loves to play and gets excited occasionally and jumps.  He might not do well with anyone in the house who could easily be knocked off-balance. He loves treats and takes them gently. Bodie is leash trained.  He is crate trained, and self-crates when he knows you’re leaving the house.  He quickly learned his house training even though he was an outside dog prior to rescue. He is working on confidence with riding in a car.  He still needs a little booty boost to get into the vehicle. Bodie hopes for a home where people are sweet to him, love on him, and he has a nice yard to play. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old.
