SRGDRR Inc aka Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab

SRGDRR is a 100% volunteer organization. Like all humane groups, SRGDRR is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and Great Dane Mixes, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general. SRGDRR helps people to:Determine the right breed of dog for their lifestyle.Find healthy and companionable dogs that fit their circumstances.Find loving replacement homes for Danes they can no longer keep.Become knowledgeable about the care and training of their Great Danes.Resolve their Danes physical/behavioral problem.Overcome the grief at the loss of their loved pet.Stretch their tax dollar by assuming the Dane burden from public shelters.SRGDRR helps Danes:By providing for the rescue and care of those who have been abandoned, neglected, and/or abused by their previous owners. We spay/neuter and provide medical treatment as necessary to return the Dane back to good health. We also supply training/socialization to ensure their adaptability to new, good homes. We work to place rescue Danes to people who provide secure, loving, and healthy homes.SRGDRR spends an average of $300 per dog that enters our rescue. In order for us to continue providing the best care and vetting for these babies, we need donations and adoptions. Thank you all so very much.

Meet Scooby

LOCATION: McKinney, TXDOB: 01/14/2024Meet Scooby, the laid-back Doberman Pinscher who’s all about the simple joys in life! This sweet guy may be a bit shy at first, but with a little time and patience, he’ll warm right up and be your devoted companion. His favorite thing in the world? Snuggling with his humans! Scooby is always by your side, following you around the house, just happy to be in your presence.Scooby gets along great with small dogs, and he’s good with cats, birds, and kids—he’s truly a gentle soul when it comes to his family. While he may have a bit of a weird dynamic with other adult male dogs (he’s had a few scuffles), we think he’d do better with a large female dog, though we’d recommend some introductions to be sure. But when it comes to little dogs, he’s absolutely smitten—he adores them!Big adventures or loud noises? Not really Scooby’s thing. He prefers a calm and quiet environment, where he can relax and enjoy the little things. However, he does enjoy some playtime in the yard and will happily romp around in the grass. Scooby has been known to counter-surf now and then, but he’s working hard to improve on that! Aside from that, he’s a quiet, well-behaved house guest who will fit in nicely with the right family. If you’re looking for a chill, snuggly, and lovable companion who just wants to be with you, Scooby might be the perfect match. He’s ready to find his forever home where he can kick back, relax, and enjoy all the love you have to give!========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .For more information, please email us at [email protected].
