Meet Freeda

Hi there, I’m Freeda!  I am a 2 year old Labrador mix.  I’m spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.  I am at my ideal weight of 40 pounds and I won’t get any bigger. Let me tell you a little about myself.  You know how there’s always that one kid at the party who gets along with everyone, no matter what?  That’s ME!  Johnny could steal my cupcake and I’d be like, “That’s ok! You eat it!”  Megan could cut in front of me in line for pin the tail on the donkey, and I’d be like, “Sure, after you!”     To my potential dog friends:  I love to play my favorite game, “kissy face.”  Or maybe you want to play fetch?  Go ahead!  I might just watch you to see how much fun you are having, or I might join in:   it  depends on the vibe.   To my future human friends:  Are you feeling a little grumpy, a little blue?  Let’s go for a walk, I’m game!  And I know it would cheer us both up (although I don't need much cheering up).  Happiness is contagious, you know.  Or maybe you’d rather just watch a movie on the couch instead?  Sure, you choose the flick!     I’m just a sweet girl looking for my forever family who will give me whatever time and attention you have to give.  My ideal home would have another dog who I could hang out with (we don’t have to play if your dog doesn’t want to… but a partner in playtime would be a bonus!).  Whatever you think, I’ll go along for the ride.   And speaking of rides, I love to ride in the car!  I’ll wait there patiently if you need to run some errands.  If we end up driving to a trailhead for a hike, even better!   I’m kennel trained and sleep through the night, as long as the kennel is placed close to you or my canine friend.  I’m fully house trained.  When it’s mealtime, I spin in a circle and sit until the bowl hits the floor.  I walk great on a leash and love my daily walks in the neighborhood.   I haven’t met a dog I didn’t like.  Even the dogs who don’t seem interested in me, I’ve been able to win them over with kisses. If kisses don’t work, I’ll ignore them until they give in.  I’m cat-selective and get along with most cats (ask my foster mom for details).     My foster mom says I’m nearly perfect, but I have to admit I have one guilty pleasure.  I get so excited to see you when you come home that I will jump on you.  I’m working on showing my affection without jumping.  Once you’ve been home for a few minutes, I settle down really quickly.  So even though I’d be good with kids, I might knock the littlest ones over.   What do you think?  I think we should meet up.  You choose the time and place!  Get in touch with my foster mom by filling out an application for adoption and we’ll set it up:   https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
