Meet Vecna

Meet Vecna, a 6-year-old pup with a heart full of love and a spirit just waiting to shine! This 67 pound lovebug has been living in a bustling home with adults and a playful toddler, who proved to be too unpredictable for Vecna. He can get nervous and defensive if he gets overstimulated so a home without young children is his preference. Sometimes his nervousness gets the better of him and then he gets pretty territorial with food and toys. He’d love some help in learning he doesn’t have to guard anything. He also does not like to be approached or touched while lying down and does best when he knows he has a quiet place to retreat when he needs to recharge. Vecna loves to play-wrestle and to play (and play, and play) to help him channel his big energy. He would be happy with another dog who is confident and patient to help him understand how to be his best. This devastatingly handsome boy can be a little shy but he’s brimming with potential. He is super smart and quickly learns new tricks, so long as treats are involved! He’ll need a home willing to help him expend his energy in healthy ways, learn and keep good boundaries, and teach him that new situations (or dogs and humans) are nothing to fear. He’ll reward you with his hilarious and endearing personality. Want examples: he hops like a bunny when he's hyper and excited and loves when his humans stomp their feet to start playing with him. He will show his love with the dog-lean against you - like a hug! Use a laser pointer to get him into a comedic chase scene. He loves his scritches and if you right the right spot, he’ll kick his leg out to show his gratitude. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
