Meet MOLLY

Ashley 801-710-4230Molly is an AKC bred chocolate lab. She has a great bird hunting dog lineage. We chose not to register her with AKC and we got her spayed. She is currently up to date on her shots and vet checks. She may need another one here soon. But I will get that taken care of before rehoming. She will come with any and all things she may need (crate, water/food bowls, food storage bin, toys, etc.) I will even throw in a free bag of dog food. We have had dogs before. So it is nothing new to us. We got Molly to have her be raised and grow up with our kids. Mostly to have the kids learn responsibility and taking care of her, working with her, etc. However she just got too wild too fast. No matter how much we played and worked with her. She began to make the kids nervous. We all worked on it with her, but what sealed the deal was when she started to play nip the kids. I had never dealt with that with a dog before. I did all I knew how to get her to stop but nothing was working. The kids were scared. And I couldn't traumatize my kids anymore. Molly has been an outside dog for 75% of her life, but very loved and cared for, as much as possible with 3 small scared kids. Molly is a sweetheart! Just wants to love and play! She doesn't know how big and strong she really is. She thinks she is a tiny puppy still. She has been doing way better at not jumping. She still sometimes play nips, but it doesn't hurt, just annoying. She also needs more work with taking food from your hand softly and not pulling on leash. It hasn't been officially diagnosed yet, but I think she may have a little anxiety or over-activeness? The last time I took her to the vet, he said `this is the most hyper dog I have ever seen in my career.` On that note, Molly would do good in an extremely active home with older kids or just a more experienced family. I feel absolutely horrible about making the choice to re-home her. It has made me lose sleep. But I know deep down in my gut that this is the best option for her and us. She deserves way more.
