Meet Honey

Meet Honey! Just like her name suggests, Honey is as sweet and gentle as they come. This 3-year-old, 45 lb flat-coated retriever mix is a mild-mannered, easy-going girl who’s looking for a loving forever home where she can continue to bloom. Honey may be a little shy at first, but give her a moment and she’ll warm right up—especially if there’s another dog around! She absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion (or two!) to play with and keep her company. She’s also great with kids and cats, making her an all-around wonderful addition to just about any family. She’s crate-trained (loves her crate—it’s her safe place!), house-trained, and has excellent leash manners. Her energy level is mellow, and while she enjoys playing fetch or romping with dog friends, she’s equally content lounging around the house or snoozing in the sun. Honey is a smart girl who learns quickly—she just needs gentle guidance and a little patience as she adjusts to new surroundings. One of her cutest quirks? When she’s excited, she does a happy little paw shuffle and might shower your feet and legs with kisses. Whether it’s a home with a yard or an apartment with plenty of love, Honey will settle in beautifully. All she needs is a calm, kind family who will let her warm up at her own pace—and in return, she’ll give you unconditional love, loyalty, and a whole lot of sweetness. Her adoption fee is $200, and she comes spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you’re ready to give this sweet girl her perfect forever home, apply at CAWS adoption application. Note: Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We find the best match for each pet, and applications may take up to 48 hours to process. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application
