Meet Hammy Hamilton

Are you looking for a lifelong companion, but don’t want to deal with shedding? Look no further! I’m Hammy Hamilton, but my friends call me Hammy. I am a 9 month old 50lb male doodle mix and though you can’t tell right now, I have luxurious curls that aren’t likely to be left around your house. When I came to Rescue Rovers I was matted head to toe and had to be shaved. I didn’t like it at all, but my foster mom says I’m still cute. I’m about as good as they come; crate trained, potty trained, great with kids and other dogs of all sizes. I’ve never met a cat before, but I think I could get along with one if you teach me how. I really like to play, know how to use a doggy door, take treats nicely, and don’t jump on the couches- though I love to cuddle so if you invite me I will lay on top of you. Er.. I mean next to you. I forget how big I am sometimes. Now, no dog is perfect so I will share with you that I’m still a puppy with puppy energy and am working really hard on learning boundaries and what I can and can’t eat. My foster mom is teaching me “leave it” and I’m catching on so fast. I’m not really a chewer, but I do like to pick things up and bring them outside. My ideal furever family will give me lots of exercise and continue my training with me. I need structure and guidance to be my best self. Will you give me the home I’ve been looking for?
