Meet Wilbur

Wilbur is an 7-year-old 20-pound male very soft hair cairn terrier mix. This little gentleman became a part of the CAWS family when he lost his home, not his fault. Wilbur gets along wonderfully with everyone in the foster home, big and small, male and female. He does not have a mean bone in his body, lets the other littles walk right over the top of him to get to the lap of his 2-legged people. Wilbur is so good to cuddle with everyone. He gives gentle kisses and hugs. He is totally house and crate trained but his foster people work from home so he does not have to be crated too often. He loves cuddling with his 2 legged and 4 legged canines on the couch and sleep with them, but totally okay to sleep on the floor in a dog bed as well. Wilbur won’t require professional grooming but he will need to be brushed on a regular basis. This little man is the most wonderful, precious, loving and sweet adorable dog ever. He radiates sheer delight and gentleness. He will do some barking while he is in the back yard just to let people know on the other side of the fence he is out there and it is his world, such a good guard dog! This angel has utterly turned out to be a little gem, dang near perfect. Wilbur needs to go to a home with a yard so he can meander and wonder to do his business and he won’t be crated. Wilbur just wants to find his forever family and to be safe for the rest of his life. He doesn't like being surprised by rambunctious children so recommend he go to a home with older kids or no kids. He was cat tested and did fine with the little furry thing. If you are interested please reach out for a meet and greet. Wilbur will make the greatest most wonderful companion.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Wilbur's adoption fee is $200.
