IN VERMONT Meet Opal! Opal is 16 months old, female (approx. DOB 03-30-23), 47 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Opal was brought to Vermont and adopted via a "rescue" that does not do background criminal checks, home checks, reference checks, vet checks............do we need to go on? This poor girl was lost in Chittenden County when she ran away from her owners. Our very close friend and searcher altered us that the owners did not want her back once she was trapped. Our friend could not trap her until she had a place to go; of course, we said yes! (thank you, Veronica, for fostering) Opal is very shy and can be fearful/insecure in new situations but loves other dogs, is good with cats, and would love a calmer home with another pup! Stay tuned for more information as Opal is a new rescue! If you are interested in adopting Opal please fill out an Application at www.Passion-4-Paws.org (please make sure you have the Vermont site not CT) - thanks! Please note Fosters have 1st option of Adoption. Check out her Facebook page (and "Like" us while you're there)!
Adoption Process
Applicants fill out an application and, once thoroughly checked, referenced, and approved, are invited to meet the dogs they have interest in. All dogs are in foster homes. Once they have met their match, they sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
