VT Dog Rescue

VT Dog Rescue is a non-profit canine rescue focused on saving the Underdog. The sweet dogs who are passed over day after day simply because they are not perfect. Who is an underdog?- older dogs who are wise and love to snuggle- tri-pawed dogs who are happily enjoying life with 3 legs- shy dogs who need a little extra love to help them build confidence - dogs who may limp or have a physical limitation that humans see as a flaw, but they accept with dignity - dogs who are missing an eye and have adapted to navigate their world The Underdogs have, against all odds, retained their ability to be loyal and trusting companions who love us unconditionally. We believe the Underdogs, just like other shelter dogs, deserve to be rescued and placed in loving, responsible homes where they can shine.

Meet Brynn

Brynn arrived in mid-July and is super sweet! She is doing great in her Vermont foster home. Brynn was initially a little timid to start, but she has come out of her shell and her personality is now shining through. She loves to play with other dogs! She is interested in the cats in her foster home but is not aggressive. With boundaries and guidance from her new owners, she can live peacefully with a feline sibling. Her foster mom shared, "Brynn is the sweetest puppy. She LOVES everyone and all animals. She is a perfect mix of puppy energy and snuggles. She enjoys walks on the bike path, but take her for a walk near people and she MUST greet everyone. If she sees someone she will sit with hopes that they will come over to say 'hi'. Brynn is house-trained, crate-trained and walks well on a leash. We think she could fit in just about any loving home. She is highly food motivated which will help make training easier! She was found, along with her siblings (10 total), abandoned under a shed. A good citizen contacted the local rescue in Mississippi and they were all rescued. Thought to be hound/bulldog mixes, she is fairly petite and we don't expect her to be very large. Our best guess is around 40 - 45 lbs full-grown. We highly recommend training classes for all of our dogs to get everyone off to a great start. Training recommendations are available. Our adoption fee is $400 which includes age-appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, and Rabies), spaying, worming, microchipping, and health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming, and similar dog-related products and services are provided.
