Meet Buck

Meet Buck! A spirited three-year-old Bluetick Coonhound from Pittsburgh, PA, whose essence is a harmonious blend of playfulness and affection wrapped in a striking bluetick coat! Buck is a large, 74-pound bundle of joy who thrives on outdoor adventures and playtime! Buck's favorite activities include going for walks, engaging in lively games of tug with rags, and chasing after tennis balls. His love for tough squeaky toys and antlers keeps him entertained and active. Though he hasn't had formal obedience training, Buck impresses with his repertoire of commands: sit, stay, down, spin, paw, stand, up, speak, and easy. This intelligent and eager-to-please boy is always ready to learn more, especially when treats are involved! Despite his exuberant nature, Buck is well-behaved when left alone for short periods, often spending his time napping or gazing out the window. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoys the company of other dogs, although he can be selective. His friendliness extends to strangers, making him a delightful companion during outings! While Buck has some minor GI issues and needs his anal glands expressed periodically, his vet-recommended diet is helping manage these concerns. Buck's aversion to vet visits and nail clipping can be managed with patience and a gentle approach, doing one paw at a time to keep him comfortable. One of Buck's most endearing traits is his sweet nature and love for being outdoors. He enjoys barking, chasing critters, and would flourish in a home with a fenced yard where he can explore to his heart's content. Buck’s ideal family would be active and loving, preferably with land for him to roam. While he gets along with some dogs, careful introductions are essential. Buck’s new home should be free of young children due to past experiences that caused him stress. Buck is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready for his new adventure. If you're looking for a loyal and lively companion who will bring endless joy and affection, Buck is your guy! Are you ready to welcome Buck into your life and embark on countless exciting adventures together? Contact [email protected] to meet this wonderful Bluetick Coonhound and discover the boundless love and happiness he’s ready to share!
