Meet Runa

Meet Runa! A spirited four-year-old Siberian Husky from Bountiful, UT, whose essence is a vibrant burst of joy wrapped in a luxurious beige and black coat, with one mesmerizing blue eye. Despite being born with only one eye and facing some neurological challenges, Runa’s heart is full of love and warmth, ready to share with her new family! Runa’s story is one of resilience and joy. As a pandemic puppy, she hasn’t had the chance to socialize extensively with other dogs, but she’s always excited when she sees them passing by or running at the dog park. Her favorite activity is running, and she still believes she’s a sled dog, eagerly pulling and dashing around whenever she gets the chance! Tug of war is another beloved game, showcasing her playful and spirited nature. Though Runa is wary of men, she can be won over with patience and kindness. She’s never displayed aggressive behavior towards people or other dogs, though she is protective of her space and can be defensive if startled, especially on her blind side. Her gentle and friendly demeanor makes her a delightful companion for young children and those who can offer her a loving, patient environment. Runa has received formal obedience training and knows commands like stay, no, yes, and wait. She is house-trained, spayed, and used to being alone for school or work hours without issues. Runa doesn’t adhere to a strict routine, making her adaptable to various lifestyles, but she thrives with a fenced yard where she can run and explore safely. While she loves the outdoors, she’s also a runner at heart, occasionally taking off when something excites her. Her neurological deficits mean she has tremors, but her determination and enthusiasm shine through! Runa’s health is otherwise excellent, and she’s a happy, energetic dog who delights in being with her people. Runa’s ideal family will be patient, understanding, and ready to embrace her quirks and special needs. She may do well with another dog, though it might take some time for her to adjust. A fenced yard is a significant plus for Runa, offering her the space to enjoy her favorite outdoor activities safely. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this loving, one-of-a-kind Husky? Runa’s joyful spirit and affectionate nature are waiting to bring endless smiles and warmth to her new family. Could you be the one to give Runa the home she needs?
