Partnership for Animal Welfare

Partnership for Animal Welfare (PAW) was founded in 1996 and is a all-volunteer, cat and dog rescue organization. Our mission is to place homeless dogs and cats in loving and stable homes. We focus on holding weekend adoption shows to allow prospective owners to meet with the animals and with our volunteers.

Meet Joel

This 1 year old 70 pound handsome boy has been rehomed twice through no fault of his own.   His first family had to downsize and move into an apartment and the second family had a baby and didn't feel they had enough time for him.  He is a sweet fellow, has been around kids and other dogs, and loves everyone he meets.  He is new to PAW from Virginia and we will update his bio as we get to know him better.PAW places animals in the Washington DC/Baltimore metropolitan area only.

Adoption Process
1. Interested adopter fills out adoption application. 2. Application is reviewed by Adoption Review committee within a couple of days. 3. Vet check is performed on applicant for current and past pets. 4. Home visit is conducted. 5. If the adoption is approved, a contract is signed, a donation made, and the pet goes home with the adopter.
