New Rattitude, Inc.

New Rattitude is a national, all-volunteer non-profit rescue/adoption agency whose mission is to rescue Rat Terriers (and mixes that are predominantly Rat Terrier) from imminent death at animal shelters, the streets, abusive/neglectful homes, or from owners who can no longer keep a dog, and to rehome the dogs into new and permanent, screened and approved adoptive homes. Each dog rescued is cared for in a safe and nurturing foster care environment where he or she receives appropriate medical care, a high quality diet, training and socialization. To achieve these ends, the organization is involved with transportation, volunteer recruiting and training, mentoring, fund-raising, and establishing and maintaining other programs deemed helpful to achieving the mission of rescuing and re-homing Rat Terriers.

Meet Daisy (VA)

Daisy is a happy 3 year-old rat terrier mix. This cute black-and-white girl is friendly with people and other dogs. She enjoys her walks, and loves a good game of chase or wrestling with another dog.  She is very playful and will toss up a toy and play with it on her own! She also loves downtime and snuggles with her human. She would like to be with you always and will follow you around the house and patiently wait on a rug while you take a shower.Daisy is 25 lbs now but is on a diet and will get down to her perfect weight. She is house-trained and has not had an accident at her foster home. She does so well in her pack of foster siblings; if one of them barks at something, she'll join in but she doesn't bark much on her own. Her prey drive is pretty low though she might dig in the yard after a burrowing critter.  A house with a fenced-in yard would be great so she can continue exercising and running about.  Mostly, though, Daisy loves to be with her human.
