Meet Titus: Not at the shelter (Nichole)

Titus is a neutered five-year-old chihuahua/dachshund. who came to us after his mom found out she needed back surgery and felt she could not adequately care for hm. He loves his foster home, and has made the transition easily to being there, after a 24 hour adjustment period. He is housetrained, has met respectful children, and is also learning about how nice it is to have doggy friends. because of his lack of confidence, he is not going to jump into a new home easily, but rather needs plenty of transition time. He does not enjoy being picked up, or handled by strangers but will learn to trust people If he has given plenty of time and is allowed to make the approach at his own time.

Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
