Meet Charlee (VA)

It's hard to believe that Charlee was listed as "free to a good home" on Craigslist or that he spent the better part of his 3 years being bounced from one shelter to another. This 21-lb. Rat Terrier/Dachshund mix is a sweet boy, who loves to cuddle. One of his favorite activities is sitting on the couch with you, back or belly against your chest, with his head snuggled under your ear and chin. Charlee is a complete gentleman, who is good with cats and other dogs and who has no issues with respectful children. He loves running and playing with the German Shepherds in his foster home and actually seems to prefer the company of big dogs to ones his own size. He walks well on a leash, enjoys riding in the car, and is 100 per cent house trained. He even has a bit of a fastidious streak; he's the rare dog who enjoys baths and will stand next to the sink when his foster brothers and sisters are getting theirs.
