*Diamond in the Ruff* This absolute delight of a dog is Elkie. She is a 3 year old Elkhound mix who is a dainty girl at about 35 lbs. Elkie found her way into the shelter after having a run in with a chicken. Due to her high prey drive we do not recommend her to a home with small animals (and absolutely no poultry). However, she is a sweet, happy go lucky girl, just has an abundance of extra energy that needs to be pointed in the right direction. While at the shelter she has done well with other dogs, and humans of all ages. Adoption Process
Bedford County Animal Shelter adoption process is a contract and a $60.00 adoption fee. With the adoption fee you receive an adoption packet including a $60.00 voucher to be used toward necessary vetting.
